About the Institute:
The District Institute of Education & Training (DIET), established in 2018, is one of the many institutions established by the Education Department, Government of Bihar. The District Institute of Education & Training Jamui (DIET Jamui) is also the only government teacher training institute of the district. Currently, the institute serves the district as a resource centre providing various short-term training courses to the in-service teachers of the district.

Our Mission:
- Preparation of teachers for school education who are trained in 21st-century skills of critical thinking and creativity among learners.
- Preparation of teachers for school education with a sound understanding of ICT tools and their usage to make classroom teaching more interesting and interactive.
- Providing timely and relevant training for in-service teachers with the prime purpose of up-skilling their teaching techniques as well as informing and training them in the latest innovations in curricular and pedagogic practices.
- Providing necessary assistance and advice to the state on issues related to curriculum development, its revision, and proper implementation.
- Monitoring and evaluating various centrally and state-sponsored schemes related to school education.
